The Registrar of National Examination Council (NECO) at a news conference in Abuja, announced the release of the 2020/2021 National Common Entrance Examination Results, pegging the national cut off marks at 142.
The minister of education Adamu Adamu while receiving the Registrar said 70,580 candidates sat for the examination nationwide, but 24,416 candidates passed with a minimum score of 66.
It was also gathered that 16,713 candidates were said to be absent due to the EndSars protests witnessed in the country recently, but the minister of education requested a thorough investigation as to why such a huge number was absent during the examination.
Amongst the students who recorded highest scores, these three students recorded the highest scores… Umeonyiagu Chinua Crucifixion (Anambra State), she scored 199 out of 200 marks followed by Onwuamanam Udochukwu (Enugu State) with a score of 198 and Salaam Mariam Aderemilekun (Lagos State) who scored 197 marks.
