The National Association of Ini Students (NAIS), World-wide, has condemned what it calls false pieces of information given out by some people in the area to destroy the leadership of Governor Udom Emmanuel in Akwa Ibom State as well as the image and revered character of some respected Leaders in Ini Local Government Area.
In a communique issued at the end of its meeting held recently, signed by the NAIS President, Elder (Comrade) James Uko, the Secretary General, Comrade Philip Isreal Philip, and the Treasurer, Daniel Ufia Udo, the NAIS leadership issued a stern warning to the enemies of progress in the Area, advisng them to sheath their swords.
Similarly, the Chief of Staff to the President of NAIS also comdemned the recent character assassination on the Executive Chairman of Ini Local Government Area, Rt Hon. Isreal Idaisin; warning blackmailers to desist from all manners of ill practices and other negative tendencies against Leaders in the Area; which is currently rife in Ini Local Government Area.
NAIS, which comprises of Stakeholders, Chapter Heads and worldwide Leaders, also declared that Ini Students will not support blackmailing of persons in the Area.
The NAIS leadership stated: “we will not, in our time, witness a situation which anybody blackmails our Leaders in this Local Government Area”.
The NAIS Representatives further added: “If the members of the public do not value them, we, the Students of Ini Local Government Area, do value them; specifically, we value our dear Local Government Chairman, who is currently the number one citizen of the Area.’
While suing for peaceful co- existence in the Area, the Students’ body appealed to politicians to shun acts capable of disuniting the people.
They commended the LG Chairman, Rt Hon. Idaisin, for maintaining peace in the Area, for the developmental projects he has initiated in the LGA and for the empowerment of Youths and Students of the LGA.
They, therefore, declared their total support to the Chairman of the LGA and other Leaders in the Area.
