The need for women to employ their womanhood toward possible action of contributing effectively to the growth and development of nation’s building has once again been emphasised.

Rev. (Mrs.) Veronica Omowumi Popoola the president of women intercessory network (Win) and wife of the senior pastor word communication ministries (Wocom) gave this charge during the 2023 unique women conference which took place recently at the church auditorium wocom Centre #1 faith drive off Kudeti Avenue, Onireke Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

 

Rev. Mrs. Popoola stressed that the role of women as homemakers and in nation-building cannot be overemphasised.

She stated this while ministering on Saturday during the conference, Noting that women play significant role in how their children turn out in future and extension become the nation builder’s .

Mrs Popoola who is the publisher of the UNIQUE WOMAN MAGAZINE and the PINK BIBLE FOR WOMEN also stressed that since children are regarded as leaders of tomorrow, it is incumbent on parents particularly mothers to set them on the right path in order to be able to contribute their quota to nation-building in future.

Speaking on the Theme of the conference, she reminded the women of the need to have decent approach towards their families, adding that their inward estimation of your motherhood or womanhood should be outwardly expressed at all times by proper and respectful conduct to sustain their various families.

Further, the Cleric described women as the crown of their husband, urging them to exhibit good character and be holy, imploring them to desist from sin and be wise in building their home as good mothers.

Rev.Omowumi stated that a virtuous woman among others is  blessed, peaceful, have high regards for family values and above all respects and supports her husband.

Also ministering Rev. Funke Felix Adejumo the director of Agape Christian Ministries noted that, besides being a woman of gentle habits and gra­cious courtesy, should also be an ideal companion their husbands, and to achieve this must be physically, intellectually, and spir­itually active.

She said: Physically, woman is weaker than man, but this only argues for the care of the bodily temple so that it may be as efficient for a woman’s work as man’s is for his work. Life means joy, vigor, and freedom from unnecessary pain; and upon the soundness of health and physical fitness of the wife depends much of the minister’s success.”

According to her, not only must women strive to be well psychologically, but it is her duty to keep herself as attractive and lovable as she was before marriage. In fact, it is well not only to abound in this grace, but to grow in it also.”

As to what a women ought to be, she said, first of all, a woman, every women’s should be eloquently active with all the graces that God has impounded on them, simplicity, and earnestness of life that it takes to make a woman.”
