Daystar Peterson, also known as Tory Lanez, a Canadian rapper, was given a ten-year prison term for killing Megan Thee Stallion, a female American coworker.
On Tuesday, a judge in Los Angeles imposed the prison term.
According to DAILY POST, the rapper was found guilty of two crimes and assault with a semi-automatic weapon in December 2022 after Megan Thee Stallion hauled him to court for shooting her in the feet following a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in 2020.
During her testimony, Megan claimed that Lanez shot at the backs of her feet and instructed her to “Dance, bitch” as she walked away from an SUV that was transporting them.
The jury gave the hip-hop artist a 10-year prison sentence as opposed to the 13-year penalty that the prosecution had requested.
