Bauchi gov inaugurates new commissioners [FULL LIST]

Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has swore them in and given them their duties.

The appointments were sworn in at the Government House on Monday during the swearing-in ceremony, which was conducted by the state’s top judge, Justice Talatu Umar.

In his speech, Mohammed urged the newly appointed officials to carry the people forward while committing themselves to service.

He also instructed them to work to satisfy their expectations and build productive working relationships with key stakeholders while carrying out their jobs.

“It should be made known to you that you have not been appointed to enrich yourselves or pursue selfish political ambitions. What is required of you is sacrifice and selfless service,” he said.

Gov. Mohammed thanked the commissioners for the chance to serve the state and emphasized that, despite being chosen to represent their individual constituencies, their selection was based on competence, track records of performance, and integrity.

The commissioners and their portfolios are as follows:

3. Danlami Ahmad Kawule – Ministry of Housing and Environment

4. Mahmoud Baba Maaji Abubakar -Ministry Commerce and Industry

5. Dr Lydia H. Tsammani – Ministry of Higher Education

6. Ahmad Aliyu Jalam – Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs

7. Usman Danturaki Garba – Ministry of Information and Communications

8. Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza – Ministry of Religious Affairs and Social Reorientation

9. Mohammed Salees -Ministry of Youth and Sports Development
