Free medical outreach to profuse health solutions especially to the commoners in the society was part of the activities lined up for the funeral arrangements in honour of a true devoted Christian and committed Evangelist late matriarch Felicia Owonibi Odejimi.

The funeral arrangement officially commence on Monday 23rd October with free medical services starting at 12: noon to 4:pm, following commendation service/lying in state at folaranmi street, oluodo off Akala Road opposite Assalam school, Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

 

The late Evang. Felicia Odejimi who passed on at the age of 103 years, arrived the folaranmi street with undertakers parading casket containing the body of the deceased for lying in state at about 5:pm on Monday 23rd October 2023.

 

Declaring the commendation service Pst. Emmanuel Edide described the deceased as one who came like a soldier of christ and died a glorious death in christ.

Speaking in Yoruba language, pst. Edide extolled the determination quality of the late Evang. Felicia Owonibi, especially her passion, dedication and commitment in doing the things of God and charge the family to imitate the footprint of their departed matriarch.

 

In his homily by Pst. Gabriel Omosebi applause the Christian body for coming out en-mass to glorify God in a commendation service organised in honour of the late Evang. Felicia Owonibi Odejimi.

In a Bible reading 1st Corinthians 15:50-58 taken by one of the deceased son Mr. Sam Odejimi, the man of God pst. Gabriel Omosebi sue the denomination to follow Christ with all their heart, pointing out the commitment of the late Evang. Felicia Owonibi Odejimi as a typical examples.

He congratulated the bereaved family for following the footstools of their parents, who he said raise them in moral values and in the ways of the Lord.

He prayed for total consolation, peace and unity upon the family of deceased.

In his remark the senior son of the bereaved family Rev’d. Isaac Odejimi, thank the ministers of God and other denominations for honouring their invitations to their mother’s commendation service despite their busy schedules.

He said “our mother was a devoted Christian and we have every reason to thank God for her life and also pray for grace to do the things of God like our beloved mother”

Highpoint of the commendation service was praise and worship by different denominations, music ministrations from guest artists and various choir groups, goodwill message from Evang. Kenny Ologo Are, health talks, tributes from family, friends and well wishers, mimicking of the lifestyle of the late matriarch, prayer for the bereaved family and lots more.

Meanwhile Wednesday 25th, is slatted again for free medical outreach service at the residence of the bereaved at Imo Street, IIesa, Thursday 26th another free medical services and family visit to orphanage/less privileged homes and faith homes, while Friday is schedule for wakee keeping/Artists nights at mama’s residence in IIesa, Osun State

The funeral service and thanksgiving which will also fall in line with the 15th years memorial service/celebration of life of the late pastor Simeon Odejimi at Christ Apostolic Church.

The Committee invite the family, friends, relatives and Christian faithfuls to grace the occasion.
