The Northern Youth Alliance for Good Governance (NYAG) has announced the cancellation of their planned protest scheduled for August 1, 2024.
The decision was reached after extensive consultations among their leaders and members, considering potential consequences for national security.
Abdullahi Usman, the National Coordinator, emphasized NYAG’s dedication to the welfare of Nigerians and highlighted concerns about political elements aiming to exploit the protest for selfish agendas, potentially leading to violence and further hardships for the populace.
Instead of proceeding with the protest, NYAG now advocates for dialogue as a means to address the issues causing hardship in Nigeria.
They expressed support for President Tinubu’s reforms and urged all Nigerians to reject violence and support peaceful solutions to national challenges.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to national peace, security, and the well-being of all Nigerians.
