Senator Ireti Kingibe has strongly denied accusations from FCT Minister Nyesom Wike that she sponsored the recent protests in Abuja.
Wike claimed a senator was providing incentives to protesters, but Kingibe’s spokesperson clarified that the video Wike referenced is over six weeks old and shows a different event.
Kingibe, who has been ill and hasn’t left her home, condemned the false claims as a deliberate attempt to tarnish her reputation.
She also highlighted that Peter Obi, mentioned in the accusations, was in Anambra and could not be in Abuja. Kingibe urged the public to disregard the misleading video.
