Detectives from the Special Squad Unit of the Lagos State Police Command have identified a key member of the notorious gang involved in the recent raid at Ladipo Market. Previously, only Prince Henry Ode, a Nollywood actor, and his accomplices were known. The latest findings, led by CSP Kehinde Oni, reveal 42 case files linked to the gang’s operations across Lagos.
The gang had recently kidnapped a wealthy female supermarket owner from Ago Okota and extorted N68 million in ransom. CCTV footage identified Uzoamaka, an informant and skilled sharpshooter, who scouted the supermarket before the kidnapping. During the Ladipo Market operation, Uzoamaka fired a shot to clear their escape route but narrowly missed an officer.
The investigation continues as detectives work to identify all victims and uncover the full extent of the gang’s activities. However, families of the deceased remain reluctant to come forward.
