Anglican bishop urge FG to address hunger, economic challenges, unemployment in Nigeria

Bishop Duke Akamisoko of the Diocese of Kubwa, Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion, has called on the Nigerian government to address the country’s economic challenges urgently.

Speaking during a Holy Eucharist for the Church of Transfiguration Anglican Communion’s 20th anniversary, he highlighted that the current economic and political situation has led to widespread hardship and disillusionment.

Akamisoko emphasized that the government should focus on alleviating hunger and improving living conditions rather than just showcasing infrastructure achievements.

He stressed the need for political leaders to listen to the people’s pressing needs and take concrete actions to address the prevalent issues of hunger and economic insecurity.
