Mrs. Esther Fidelis Osaghae has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to investigate her husband, Mr. Fidelis Osaghae’s, mysterious death at his workplace in Auchi, Edo State.
According to the petition, Mr. Osaghae died under suspicious circumstances on July 29, 2024, after leaving work late at night. Mrs. Osaghae alleged that the local police may be covering up the case, as Mr. Osaghae’s employer, Mr. Oyemike Valentine, has not been detained despite being a prime suspect.
The petition, supported by the Akin Faadeyi Foundation, highlights concerns over potential foul play and police inaction. The Edo State Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Moses Yamu, stated that the matter is under investigation.
