The Taraba Independent Peace Committee has condemned recent attacks in Taraba State, particularly the killing of six passengers by unknown gunmen in Takum LGA.
The committee, led by Professor Talla Ngarka, has called for immediate action from the Taraba and Benue governments to address the growing insecurity.
They demand increased security and improved intelligence along the Takum/Wukari roads and emphasize the need to apprehend those responsible to prevent further violence.
The victims, including Tanko Danjuma and others, were ambushed early Tuesday, following the recent murder of a traditional ruler on the same route. Governor Agbu Kefas also condemned the violence and urged security forces to intensify their efforts.
