Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has lifted the curfew in the state, effective immediately from August 13, 2024.
The decision follows a thorough review by the Kaduna State Security Council, which deemed the security situation in Kaduna and Zaria towns stable enough to remove the previous 6pm to 8am curfew. Citizens are now free to move and engage in activities without restrictions.
However, the Security Council has advised that any processions or gatherings should be coordinated with relevant authorities to ensure public safety. Security forces will remain vigilant and take action against any threats to peace.
