The reinstated Deputy Governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, has firmly rejected claims of being an impostor made by the state’s Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Chris Nehikhare.
Shaibu’s Chief Press Secretary, Musa Ebomhiana, criticized Nehikhare’s statements as a direct affront to the judiciary and a violation of a court order from July 17, 2024, issued by Hon Justice James Omotosho.
Ebomhiana also contended that Nehikhare’s remarks insult the people of Edo State who elected Shaibu alongside Governor Godwin Obaseki. He argued that Marvellous Omobayo, who was appointed by Obaseki, is the true impostor as he was not elected by the people.
