The Osun State Government has approved the elevation of several traditional rulers and chiefs, as announced by Commissioner for Information and Public Enlightenment, Kolapo Alimi.
New appointments include Prince Ayodeji Imran Akintola as Alufa of Erin Oke, and Prince Odedire Augustine Olasoji as Obameri of Odin-Ife, among others.
Additionally, traditional rulers such as the Baale of Alutierin-Ife and Baale of Elegberun-Ife have been elevated. This decision aligns with the Chief’s Law, Cap 25 of Osun State’s 2002 regulations.
