The Arewa Community in Southern Nigeria has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the ongoing Kano royal crisis, arguing that the situation is undermining the traditional institution and causing unnecessary embarrassment.
Musa Saidu, the community’s chairman, claimed the conflict is politically motivated and detrimental to Kano’s interests and traditional values. Saidu criticized Tinubu’s inaction, comparing it to former President Buhari’s mediation efforts in a similar crisis in 2020.
He also supported the investigation of former Kaduna State governor Nasiru El-Rufai, emphasizing the importance of transparency and accountability in governance.
