The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has confirmed the deaths of two officers and that three others are unconscious following an attack by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), also known as ‘Shi’ites’.
The attack took place at Wuse Junction, where the group used machetes, improvised explosive devices, and knives. Police spokesperson SP Josephine Adeh reported that several arrests have been made, and Commissioner of Police CP Benneth C. Igweh has condemned the attack, promising that those responsible will be held accountable.
