Olubandan Oba Owwlabi Olakulehin elevate six new chiefs in balogun chieftaincy.

The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Akinloye Olakulehin Ige Olakulehin 1, has elevated six chiefs within the Balogun chieftaincy line.

The promotion took place at the Olubadan’s palace, with traditional rites performed by the Oluwo of Ibadanland, who also decorated the chiefs with Akoko leaves. The promoted chiefs are:

  1. Oba Tajudeen Abimbola Ajibola, elevated from Otun Balogun to Balogun of Ibadanland.
  2. Oba Kolawole Adegbola, promoted from Asipa Balogun to Otun Balogun of Ibadanland.
  3. Oba John Olubunmi Isioye-Dada, advanced from Ekerin Balogun to Osi Balogun of Ibadanland.
  4. Oba Dauda Abiodun Azeez, upgraded from Ekarun Balogun to Asipa Balogun of Ibadanland.
  5. Senior Chief Akeem Bolaji Adewoyin, promoted from Abese Balogun to Ekerin Balogun of Ibadanland.
  6. Senior Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli, advanced from Maye Balogun to Ekarun Balogun of Ibadanland.

The ceremony was attended by members of the Olubadan council, including Otun Olubadan Rasidi Adewolu Ladoja and Ekerin Olubadan Oba Amidu Ajibade, alongside family heads, traditional rulers, and government officials.
