The Zamfara State Government has refuted claims that it has paid large sums of money to bandits for dialogue, calling the circulating documents false and misleading.
Abubakar Nakwada, the Secretary to the State Government, denounced the documents as forgeries, asserting that they misrepresented the administration’s stance and intentions.
He emphasized that the government remains committed to fighting banditry and terrorism without engaging in negotiations. Nakwada highlighted that the state’s efforts are guided by integrity and transparency and that security agencies are investigating the source of the false documents.
