Merchan’s decision aims to prevent any potential appearance of influencing the election outcome.
He will also address Trump’s request to overturn the verdict based on a recent Supreme Court ruling on presidential immunity on November 12. This delay allows Trump to campaign for the presidency without immediate legal consequences looming over him.
