The Department of State Services (DSS) has released Omoyele Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), who was arrested at Lagos’ Murtala Muhammad International Airport.
Sowore, who had previously raised concerns about a potential plot by security agencies against him, was apprehended on Sunday but has now been released with his passport returned.
Constitutional lawyer Deji Adeyanju confirmed Sowore’s release and the return of his passport.
