Biafra agitator Simon Ekpa has urged Nigerians to support the Biafra movement, highlighting economic difficulties within Nigeria. In a recent viral video, he showcased Igbos registering for Biafran National Identity Cards, claiming the process is more straightforward and trustworthy than Nigeria’s system.
Ekpa criticized the Nigerian government for inefficiencies, pointing out that only 109 million out of an estimated 250 million Nigerians have successfully obtained their National Identity Number.
He emphasized that Biafrans worldwide are rallying behind the Biafra government, seeing it as a beacon of hope. The Biafra Republic Government In-Exile (BRGIE) has also reaffirmed its commitment to the Biafra Declaration set for December 2, 2024.
This renewed focus comes in the wake of ongoing issues faced by Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, who remains detained by the Nigerian authorities.
