Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State clarified that he did not officially appoint his daughter as First Lady following the death of his wife, Patience Umo Eno. He explained that she was asked to temporarily coordinate the office while he considers remarrying.

The governor noted that his daughter will oversee activities related to the office, including continuing his late wife’s pet projects. He recently introduced his daughter to the President’s wife during her condolence visit.
