The Ogun State Police have confirmed the murder of Adeleke Adeyinka, a 40-year-old All Progressives Congress councillorship candidate for Abeokuta South Local Government. The incident occurred around 12:30 PM when assailants, believed to be cultists, opened fire on Adeyinka before fleeing in an unregistered Toyota Corolla.
Adeleke, a former youth leader and transport union worker, was reportedly buried shortly after the shooting, with no examination or autopsy conducted on his body. The police are actively investigating the case and working to apprehend the suspects.
