Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has stated that President Bola Tinubu drives around Abuja at night to understand the challenges facing Nigerians.
He emphasized that Tinubu, whom he referred to as a “street person,” is aware of the country’s economic struggles, including rising inflation, which recently hit 32.7%.
Kalu noted that the president uses these nighttime excursions to gauge public sentiment and is actively seeking to address the hardships exacerbated by policies such as the removal of the fuel subsidy and the floating of the naira.
