PDP crisis deepens, as Gov. Bala’s faction seek court order to remove Amb. Damagum.

The crisis within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) escalates as a faction led by Bauchi Governor Bala Mohammed seeks a court order to convene a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting.

This move is part of an ongoing effort to remove the acting national chairman, Amb Umar Damagum, which has sparked opposition from other party members, particularly those aligned with FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.

Complicating matters, the Federal High Court in Abuja previously issued a restraining order against the removal of Damagum.

The latest legal action by Mohammed’s faction was filed in the Federal High Court in Zamfara State.
