Bauchi State, suspend 6 civil servants over an alleged involvement in sales of govt property worth millions of naira.

In Bauchi State, six civil servants have been suspended due to their alleged involvement in the sale or conversion of government property worth millions of naira. The officials, all from the Ministry of Works and Transport and working with the Bauchi State Infrastructures Development and Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA), are accused of removing materials from ongoing flyover construction projects at Wunti and Central Market in the Bauchi metropolis.

The suspensions were announced by the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission (BSCSC), which cited violations of the Bauchi State Public Service Regulations. The suspended individuals include Mohammed Musa Saye, Ado Abba Pali, Danladi Noma, Garba Nuhu, Ibrahim Inuwa, and Uzairu Mudi. A thorough investigation into the allegations is underway.

Additionally, during the Commission’s 41st plenary session held on November 14, 2024, 79 officers were promoted. The BSCSC also announced a recess from November 25 to 28, 2024, for members to attend the 43rd Annual Council of Federal and State Civil Service Commissions meeting in Katsina State.
