A cholera outbreak in Sokoto State has claimed at least 25 lives, with 1,160 confirmed cases across three local government areas.
The state’s Health Commissioner, Asabe Balarabe, confirmed that 15 individuals are currently hospitalized, and efforts are underway to contain the disease.
The state government has initiated a response by distributing free medications to 18 local government areas and working with rescue teams to prevent further spread of the illness.
