The youths have been appointed to the Federal Fire Service.

On his Facebook page, Hon. Idem shared the exciting news:

“Earlier today, I presented five Akwa Ibomites with employment letters into the Federal Fire Service, which I facilitated. The beneficiaries, who have completed their training exercise and have been posted to their respective stations, are:

  1. Enyongama Joseph Udiang
  2. Agnes Emmanuel Samuel
  3. Love Friday Alexander
  4. Uforo Aniefiok Udofia
  5. Nsikak Sunday Usoro

I congratulated them and charged them to be good ambassadors of Akwa Ibom State in their places of work.”

The lawmaker also reaffirmed his commitment to leveraging his office and goodwill to create more job opportunities for Akwa Ibomites in federal ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs).

Hon. Idem further stated: “It is my firm belief that in the next 10 to 15 years, we will have Akwa Ibomites in top federal government positions such as directors and permanent secretaries. This will ensure increased federal presence, more projects, and programs for Akwa Ibom State, easing the burden on the state government.”

He expressed confidence that by filling more managerial positions with Akwa Ibomites in federal MDAs, the state will bridge the gap in representation.

The five beneficiaries expressed their gratitude for this opportunity and vowed to uphold the honor of their state by excelling in their respective roles.

With this gesture, Hon. Idem assures that there will be more efforts to provide employment to the people of Akwa Ibom, fulfilling his promise to serve and support the growth of the state.
