Atiku Abubakar, former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has called on Nigerians to actively hold political leaders accountable in his New Year’s message.
He emphasized the importance of vigilance in 2025, urging citizens to ensure that no political leader holds unchecked power, which could undermine citizens’ fundamental rights.
Atiku also highlighted the significance of public awareness and participation in safeguarding democracy, stressing the need to prevent the exploitation of public office for personal gain.
Reflecting on the previous year, he acknowledged the challenges and expressed gratitude for surviving the difficulties of 2024.
