WACE announce resit option for WASSCE candidate.

By Divine Sam

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has introduced a resit option for candidates who wish to retake their West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (WASSCE) papers. This initiative allows students to resit their exams as early as January and February 2025, which marks a significant departure from previous years when candidates had to wait for the next private exam cycle.

According to WAEC’s Head of Public Affairs, John Kapi, students can register for the resit exams until January 8, 2025, either online through the WAEC website or at WAEC-accredited internet cafés. The exams will be held between January 24 and February 15, 2025. Additionally, students whose results have been cancelled due to malpractice may also be eligible to participate in the WASSCE PC1 exams, provided they have not been banned from sitting for exams for a certain period.
