Nicholas Ukachukwu, a former member of the House of Representatives, has announced his intention to run for the governorship of Anambra State under the All Progressives Congress (APC).

During a meeting with the state executive members of the party, Ukachukwu confirmed that his bid for the governorship race in the November election was no longer a rumor. He emphasized his loyalty to the party and his commitment to strengthening it.

He also highlighted his plan to run for governor as a way to continue the efforts of the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who had initially considered Ukachukwu as his successor but had withdrawn after discussing their plans.

Ukachukwu expressed confidence that his business-minded approach, similar to President Bola Tinubu’s governance style, would benefit Anambra, bringing long-term prosperity.

Ukachukwu reassured party members of his preparedness for the race, stating that he would dedicate himself fully to ensuring the APC forms the next government. He also promised to complete the eight-year term for the Anambra South zone if elected and underscored the APC’s potential to oust the ruling APGA by uniting the party’s members.
