Attahiru Bafarawa, the former governor of Sokoto State, has officially resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
In his resignation letter to the PDP National Chairman, Bafarawa stated his decision to focus on a new youth movement with a transformative agenda, prioritizing youth empowerment.
He expressed the desire to avoid any conflicts of interest going forward. His resignation comes amid ongoing political shifts, including the recent defection of Abbas Sani Abbas, a former commissioner from Kano, from the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
