In November 2024, the average price of petrol in Nigeria rose significantly to N1,214.17 per litre, reflecting an 87.10% increase from the previous year, when the price was N648.93. This increase also marked a 2.48% rise from October 2024.
Regionally, Benue recorded the highest price at N1,365.16 per litre, while Lagos had the lowest at N1,092.79. The South-East Zone had the highest regional average at N1,257.72, while the South-West had the lowest at N1,153.94.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel also saw an increase, rising by 37.07% from November 2023 to N1,446.83 per litre. Bauchi had the highest diesel price at N2,232.04, while Oyo recorded the lowest at N1,250.71. The North-East had the highest regional diesel price at N1,676.11 per litre, and the South-West again had the lowest at N1,303.61.
