Ayegun Oleyo community shower praises on sen. Yunus Akintunde, Makind over rehabilitation.

Residents of Ayegun-Oleyo have expressed gratitude to Senator Yunus Akintunde and Governor Seyi Makinde for their roles in the long-awaited rehabilitation of the Ayegun-Oleyo road.

Alhaji Olajide Kabir Olayemi, the Baale of Ayegun Oleyo, commended Senator Akintunde for setting aside political differences to ensure the road’s reconstruction, and praised Governor Makinde for approving the project despite political considerations.

Olayemi emphasized the positive impact of the road rehabilitation on local residents, particularly commuters from Ayegun-Oleyo, Odo-Ona Elewe, and Asipa, who have benefited greatly from the improved infrastructure.

He also appealed to the federal government to ensure the project’s continuation.

In addition, the Baale shared his thoughts on the Alaafin elect, Prince Akeem Owoade, affirming that the selection of a monarch is divinely guided and must adhere to the law, including government approval.

He commended Governor Makinde and Professor Wande Abimbola for their roles in maintaining order in the Oyo Alaafin Kingdom.

Baale called for the preservation of Yoruba cultural values amidst modernization, emphasizing the importance of traditional norms for peaceful community living.
