Bauchi state ex-PDP chairman fault Dogara’s claim of political dynamics between Wike, Gov. Bala Mohammed.

Former Bauchi State PDP Chairman, Alhaji Hamza Koshe Akuyam, has strongly criticized Yakubu Dogara, the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, for making false claims about the political dynamics between Nyesom Wike and Governor Bala Mohammed.

In a statement titled ‘Bala Vs. Wike: Because I Am Involved’, Akuyam dismissed Dogara’s allegations that Wike manipulated the 2019 PDP primaries to favor Mohammed, accusing Dogara of spreading lies and distorting facts for political gain.

Akuyam clarified that while Wike was a significant PDP stakeholder, Bala Mohammed had already established substantial political support within the party.

He rejected Dogara’s depiction of Mohammed as a helpless politician reliant on Wike’s support. Akuyam also pointed out Dogara’s own political struggles, recalling how Bala Mohammed had offered him a political lifeline when he was sidelined by the APC, making it hypocritical for Dogara to attack his former benefactor.

Furthermore, Akuyam refuted Dogara’s claim that Mohammed had betrayed Alhaji Bello Kirfi, explaining that Kirfi was never a PDP member and was consulted for his influence.

Akuyam characterized the ongoing disagreement between Mohammed and Wike as a matter of institutional integrity versus personal loyalty.

Lastly, Akuyam accused Dogara of being a “serial opportunist,” suggesting that his political alignments are driven by financial motives, and criticized his failure to speak up during national crises, questioning his true loyalty.
