President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrives back in Nigeria today, April 21, after a controversial 19-day work visit to France.
While the Presidency says the trip focused on reforms and strategy ahead of his second anniversary, critics including Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi have slammed his absence as deadly attacks surge in Plateau, Benue, and Zamfara states.
The Presidency insists Tinubu remained actively engaged, issuing directives to security agencies throughout his stay abroad.
