The former aide to President Goodluck Jonathan and Best selling author, Reno Omokri has criticised the fine placed on Nigerian Info radio station by the Buhari government for the alleged exposure it made about a Northern Governor being the Commander of the Terrorist group Boko Haram.
Mr. Omokri took to his social media pages to ask some pertinent questions. He asked the rationale behind fining a radio station that had the guts to expose vital security information while Boko Haram members who have killed tens of thousands of Nigerians were not fined nor prosecuted.His statement reads thus;
“General Buhari did not fine or prosecute Boko Haram members for killing tens of thousands of Nigerians. Yet, he is fining Nigeria Info ₦5 million because they had the guts to expose that a Northern Governor is the commander of Boko Haram! Who is General Buhari protecting? Why does Buhari hate truth? A Northern Governor confesses on TV that he pays terrorists money. That is against The Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011. Why had that Governor not been invited to reveal who he paid monies to?”
