AAC accuse Gov. Makinde of rendering over 200,000 resident homeless in Ibadan.

The African Action Congress (AAC) has harshly criticized Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, accusing him of displacing over 200,000 residents in Ibadan due to mass demolitions along the circular road.

AAC Chair Kayode Babayomi alleged that the demolitions have resulted in deaths and severe trauma among the residents. The AAC claims that Makinde’s actions are driven by personal gain, suggesting that the land cleared will be used for private estates.

They also criticize Makinde’s handling of public property and his response to residents’ protests, asserting that his government prioritizes land acquisition over the welfare of the people.
