Canada has updated its regulations to allow international students, including Nigerians, to work off-campus for up to 24 hours per week during academic terms, an increase from the previous limit of 20 hours.

This change, announced by Marc Miller, Canada’s Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Minister, is intended to help students gain practical work experience while managing their studies.

Miller emphasized that this adjustment not only provides students with more flexibility but also addresses workforce needs in various sectors, contributing to both short-term recovery and long-term prosperity in Canada.
