Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State has urged Nigerians not to politicize or trivialize the tax reform bills currently under discussion. Speaking to journalists in Owerri, the governor emphasized that many critics of the bills had not taken the time to thoroughly study them.
He described the bills as essential for raising government revenue, harmonizing the tax system, and promoting prudence in the country’s taxation regime.
Uzodinma stressed that the bills, being an executive initiative from the president, should be given the attention they deserve, rather than being subjected to political manipulation or blackmail.
