The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has expressed concerns over the higher fuel prices from Dangote Refinery compared to other sources.
Yakubu Suleiman, IPMAN’s National Assistant Secretary, stated that in a deregulated market, marketers must prioritize sourcing fuel at lower prices to maintain profitability.
He highlighted that the prices set by Dangote, such as N995 per litre last week, are influenced by international pricing but currently exceed those from other suppliers, making it difficult for independent marketers to operate sustainably.
Suleiman called for transparency in pricing from Dangote and emphasized the need to consider the impact on Nigerian consumers.
