The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has clarified that recent social media reports about upgrading corps members’ accounts to accommodate a new N70,000 minimum wage are false.
According to a statement from Eddy Megwa, NYSC’s Director of Information and Public Relations, there has been no directive from the relevant government authorities regarding this wage increase or account upgrades.
The NYSC urged corps members and the public to disregard such misinformation and cautioned against misleading statements from unauthorized sources.
