The Osun State Internal Revenue Service (OIRS) has announced that it will start sealing off business premises that have not met their tax obligations.
According to a statement from Oluwaseun Ayeni, the agency’s Information Officer, OIRS Chairman Mr. Adesola Adewumi, represented by Director Legal and Enforcement Mr. Deji Atoyebi, emphasized that this enforcement action will begin on Monday.
Businesses that have not yet paid their taxes are urged to do so to avoid the inconvenience of having their premises shut down. Businesses that have not received a harmonized demand notice are advised to visit an OIRS tax station or request one online.
