In a bid to fulfill his commitment to developing the youth of Akwa Ibom State, Rep. Idem has sent the 7th batch of six (6) Akwa Ibom youths to Rwanda for advanced training aimed at enhancing their skills, efficiency, and global competitiveness.

The selected trainees are:

  1. Dianime Friday Uko
  2. Innocent Monday Effiong
  3. Idongesit Godswill Wilson
  4. Elizabeth Godwin Effiong
  5. Idongesit Mfon Rufus
  6. Abai Iniobong Michael

This initiative is part of Idem’s broader goal of training 100 youths to become self-sufficient and globally competitive. The training in Rwanda will not only introduce the participants to modern technologies used to solve societal challenges but will also provide a platform for exchanging ideas that can contribute to their personal and professional development. By gaining such expertise, the youths will be well-equipped to excel in any global environment.

Rep. Idem expressed that his own success has been largely attributed to the training and global exposure he has received, and he hopes these youths will surpass his achievements. He plans to continue sending youth in batches to complete the target of 100 beneficiaries.

In a letter to the participants, titled “Letter of Nomination and Sponsorship to Training in Rwanda,” Rep. Idem wrote: “As a participant in this training, you’re entitled to a traveling allowance, but more importantly, this experience will provide you with the tools to compete globally. I advise you to maintain good conduct, as you represent Akwa Ibom State and Nigeria.”

The rep concluded by wishing the participants a safe and successful journey to Rwanda, stating: “I wish you a safe stay throughout the training period and journey mercies, to and from Rwanda. Congratulations.”
