2027: Peter Obi raises alarm over widespread kidnapping.

By Divine Sam

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 election, has expressed deep concern over the rising levels of crime, particularly kidnapping, in Nigeria.

He condemned the abduction of two Catholic reverend sisters in Anambra State and the killing of the manager of the College of Nursing Sciences, Ihiala.

Obi highlighted how insecurity is affecting all sectors of the country, from agriculture to education and healthcare, with farmers, teachers, and health workers increasingly becoming targets.

He emphasized that the situation is worsening, with many incidents likely going unreported, and called on the government to take urgent action to address the crisis and secure the release of those in captivity.
