The Acting Governor of Niger State, Comrade Yakubu Garba, has urgently requested that the military redeploy personnel to Allawa and neighboring communities in Shiroro Local Government Area.
This plea follows a deadly attack on the Anguwan Mai-Giro community, which resulted in the deaths of 13 people. Garba highlighted that the previous withdrawal of military forces has hindered efforts to tackle security issues and emphasized that those killed were en route to their farms, not in an IDP camp as some misinformation suggested.
He called for an end to politicizing the issue of insecurity, stressing the need for effective security measures to protect the predominantly farming community.
