The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) has responded to allegations from the Nigeria Police accusing its National President, Joe Ajaero, of involvement in terrorism financing and other serious crimes.
The police had invited Ajaero for questioning, warning that a warrant would be issued if he failed to attend. NLC spokesperson Benson Upah denied the allegations, questioning how the Congress could finance terrorism given their financial struggles.
He emphasized the NLC’s commitment to national safety and confirmed that Ajaero would honor the police invitation as a law-abiding citizen.
