American court sentence two Nigerian brothers to 18 years in prison over sextortion scheme.

Samuel and Samson Ogoshi, two Nigerian brothers, have been sentenced to 18 years in prison each for their involvement in a sextortion scheme that exploited over 100 victims, including 11 minors.

Their actions, which led to the tragic death of 17-year-old Jordan DeMay, have prompted a strong response from U.S. authorities.

The Justice Department’s sentence aims to deter others from similar crimes, emphasizing that those who engage in online sexual exploitation will be held accountable. The Ogoshi brothers were extradited to the U.S. in August 2023 and had pleaded guilty in April.
