Apostle Johnson Suleiman, the General Overseer of Omega Fire Ministries (OFM), has lent his voice to the call for the disbandment of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), saying it should be proscribed.
In recent times, FSARS has become a thorn in the flesh of Nigerian youths. There have so many incidents of brutal killings, intimidations, extortion. It would be recalled that the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad (FSARS) chased a young Nigerian to his death last month and yesterday, October 3, it was reported that SARS officials killed another young Nigerian in Delta State, southeast Nigeria.
It was learned that the SARS operatives allegedly shot the young Nigerian in front of Wetland Hotel, Ughelli in Delta State and left the scene with the young man’s car. It was this development that led to the clamour again by Nigerians for the police squad to be shut down. Nigerians called for #ENDSARS in a series of tweets on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Saturday.
Reacting to the recent activities of the SARS operatives which led to the death of the young Nigerian, Apostle Suleman in a series of tweets on Saturday, said
“SARS should be proscribed..they are a disgrace to the police force..they are worst than the ‘criminals’ they claim to be against..their trigger-happy nature have rendered mothers childless, sent youths on premature extinction.wasted destinies.they will reap what they sow.
He continued that: “The old have failed in leadership..now the youths are been killed by SARS and their salaries are paid by these same failed old leaders..so indirectly, the old are killing the young.”
